Pakistan is facing another tragedy due to severe flooding caused by heavy rainfall after the earthquake of October 8, 2005. According to the Government of Pakistan, this has directly affected twenty million people so far. AWARD (Association for women’s awareness and rural development) Pakistan, is actively engaged in providing relief to those affected by the flood. Uptill now, The organization has provided relief items to about 300 flood affected families of Balakot and Kot Addu with the financial support of Caritas Austria and Caritas Bozen, Italy and provided food items to the 400 affected families of Faisalabad with the financial contribution of Caritas, Italiana.
