Improving Livelihood through livestock among disaster hit families of Khairpur Sindh

Under its Disaster Risk Managem (DRM) Program, AWARD Pakistan successfully conducted a Goat Distribution Ceremony in Khairpur, Sindh, empowering marginalized and deserving women living in disaster-prone rural communities.
With the generous support of Kerk in Actie, Netherlands, a total of 80 women received goats as a sustainable source of income and resilience. This initiative aims to help women rebuild their livelihoods, enhance household economic stability, and reduce vulnerability to future disasters.
Through this support, women in rural Khairpur are now better equipped to:
Generate income through livestock rearing
Improve food security
Build long-term resilience for their families
Strengthen their role in community development
