On March 8 , 2019 AWARD Pakistan organised its 17th annual International Women’s Conference with over 800 women from all walks of life from 4 Districts of Pakistan. Mrs. Parveen Sarwar (Vice Chair Sarwar Foundation and wife of Governer Punjab ) was the Guest of the event . The speakers of the event were Dr. Najma Afzal (Ex. MPA Punjab ) , Ms. Rubina Amjad ( President Faisalabad Women Chamber of Commerce), Mr.George Clement (Chairman Advisory Council for Minority Rights and Human Rights) and Mr. Sebastian Justin (Pakistan Program Coordinator for ICCO Cooperation).Dr. Mehmood Ahmed Randahwa (Director IBMS-University of Agriculture Faisalabad .
The women Groups of AWARD PAKISTAN participated from District Faisalabad,Toba Tek Singh,Muzaffergarh and Mansehra with full enthusiasm and make the event memorable. The contents of the program included: speeches on women Rights, medals distribution to successful business women, band performance, theme opening performance and theater on the theme of the conference. Wheelchair were also distributed to the people with disabilities.
AWARD Pakistan also celebrated the completion of 25 years of its struggle (1994-2019) towards women’s empowerment on this day.
